Come explore our space!

Paper Planes was thoughtfully designed to create a comfortable environment for curious minds to explore independently, while their caregivers can indulge in a beverage.

This space has been curated with Montessori-inspired toys that will encourage imaginative and independent play. It is a space for caregivers to gather and connect, for young to explore, and a place that will provide a sense of community through those early years of parenthood! We have a range of espresso drinks available and some baked goods. Head to our booking page to secure your time to come and play, or consider us for your next gathering.

I am Marlow, the owner of Paper Planes. I moved back to Orillia when I was 8 months pregnant to be closer to family and to be back in my hometown. Four months after my first son was born Covid lockdowns happened. This period of time was difficult and isolating- being a new mom, in a new town, with A LOT going on in the world. Through this time I craved connections and to get out of my house!

In 2021, we had our second son and I was back on maternity leave. The winters are long and the summer days are hot. This is when I started to plan the idea of having a relaxing play space, where I can sit down and not follow my child through tunnels and down slides.
